Chattanooga Police Officers Memorial

Sergeant Joe Montijo died as the result of a complication of heat exhaustion sustained on September 12th, 2019, while processing a crime scene in the 3900 block of Dahlia Street. He succumbed to complications from the heatstroke on November 1st, 2019.

Ofc Nicholas Galinger was killed in a hit-and-run crash on February 23, 2019.

Sgt Tim Chapin was shot and killed on April 2, 2011.

Police Officer Julie Jacks was shot and killed on May 6, 2002.

Officer Richard Alexander was killed in an automobile crash on October 5, 2000.

School Patrol Officer Fannie Davis was killed in an automobile crash on January 10, 1991.

Park Police Officer Harry Wilcox was shot and killed on January 18, 1979.

Police Officer David Friederichsen was shot on June12, 1978 and died from his injuries on June 18, 1978.
