Accessibility Commitment

The City of Chattanooga is committed to creating an inclusive online environment where everyone can easily and effectively access our services and information.

Web Content Accessibility Standards

Our commitment to accessibility aligns with the most recent Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.2, and will be updated with all future versions, ensuring compliance at "Level AA." These standards help us ensure that our website and digital services are accessible to all, regardless of ability.

The guidelines are intended to make websites, apps, electronic documents, and other digital assets accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities, including sensory, intellectual, learning, and physical disabilities. Some examples include providing captions for audio content and descriptions are provided for video content.

Continuous Improvement

We understand that accessibility is a continuous process, and we are dedicated to constant improvement. By collaborating with our users and stakeholders, we aim to pinpoint and address accessibility obstacles to enhance online inclusivity for everyone. If you have suggestions or questions, please contact Robert Ellis.
