How It Works
Once your company installs a compatible security camera system, you can authorize the CPD to proactively access some or all of your cameras in responding to suspicious activity or crime in your area.
Although the CPD does not monitor your cameras on an ongoing basis, participating in Dragonfly Community Connect gives CPD rapid access to your camera footage when it counts. This access can help us take preventative measures in response to reports of suspicious activity and provide us with the leads we need to rapidly solve any crimes that occur at your business locations and in the surrounding areas.

Expert guidance for camera installation: When you join Dragonfly Community Connect before your security system is installed, CPD will work with your provider to ensure your cameras are positioned and angled for maximum security.
Enhanced security: Help prevent and solve crimes at your business location and the surrounding area.
Giving you the power to monitor your facilities: With the cloud-based security cameras compatible with Dragonfly Community Connect, you can use an app to monitor all of your installed camera feeds wherever you are using your computer, smartphone, or other smart devices.
Maximum control and flexibility: You can authorize police officers to access some or all of your cameras, so you maintain control over the footage you proactively share.
Dragonfly Community Connect signage to help prevent crime: The Chattanooga Police Department will provide you with signage to show your participation in Dragonfly Community Connect and help curtail potential crime.
How To Get Involved
Step 1
Choose a compatible cloud-based security camera system. Currently, EPB Hosted Camera is the only certified turn-key security camera solution compatible with CPD's infrastructure. As other compatible camera system options become available, we will add them here. Please call EPB at (423) 648-1500 to learn more information. If, after speaking with EPB, your business is interested in participating in Dragonfly Community Connect, please complete the form in Step 2 below.

The Chattanooga Police Department will send you a Memorandum of Understanding for you to review, sign, and return to us. CPD RTIC can answer any questions and can be reached at RTIC@chattanooga.gov.
