About Us
The Treasurer's Office, a division of the Department of Finance & Administration, is responsible for collecting and receiving all revenues due to the City of Chattanooga. Additionally, the division manages the investment of city funds and oversees banking services.
Collection - Payments received for property taxes, business licenses, business permits, stormwater fees, and all other revenues collected by city departments
Cash Operations - Key functions include management of banking relationships, credit and debit card acceptance program, and armored car services. Oversees and executes the daily activities related to cash management. This includes cash forecasting to meet the daily cash flow demands and conforming to all applicable federal, state and/or local statutes governing public funds
Investment - The Treasury Division manages the City's short and long-term investments by investing public funds in a manner that maximizes return and provides maximum security in preserving and protecting those funds
