- Deploy, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual).
- Ensure server security, availability, and performance.
- Manage server backups and disaster recovery.
Storage Management
- Design, implement, and manage storage solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
- Manage data backup and recovery processes.
Data Center Management
- Manage data center facilities, including power, cooling, and physical security.
- Ensure data center availability and reliability.
- Coordinate data center maintenance and upgrades.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud services are secure, available, and cost-effective.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage.
Security Management
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Systems Management
- Deploy, configure, and maintain operating systems and software.
- Ensure system security, availability, and performance.
- Manage software updates and patching.
Infrastructure Monitoring and Reporting
- Implement and maintain monitoring tools for all infrastructure components.
- Generate reports on infrastructure performance and utilization.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure infrastructure redundancy and failover capabilities.
- Conduct regular disaster recovery tests.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements.
- Evaluate and select new vendors and technologies.
Capacity Planning and Performance Management
- Plan for future infrastructure needs based on business growth.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance.
- Conduct regular capacity assessments and upgrades.
Documentation and Knowledge Management
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure components and processes.
- Ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems.
- Coordinate with other IT teams for integrated solutions.
Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure infrastructure complies with internal policies and external regulations.
- Participate in audits and assessments.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings.
Innovation and Improvement
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.
