Tree Request Form

Be part of Growing Resilient Neighborhoods—a citizen tree-planting initiative developed by the City of Chattanooga Stormwater Program and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center. This neighborhood-powered initiative is aimed at growing a healthier, more dense forest canopy across the City with special attention given to the neighborhoods and communities impacted by the April 12, 2020 tornado event.

Requirements

Am I Eligible?

  1. Properties that fall within the Tornado-Affected Zone will be eligible to receive four(4) trees to plant on-site.
  2. Properties that fall outside this zone will be eligible to receive two(2) trees to plant on-site.

Properties located within the highlighted portion of the map have been identified as being most affected by the path of the April 12, 2020 tornado event. If a property’s eligibility is in question, City staff will work with individuals to make sure their needs are met.

How Do I Apply?

Fill out the online tree request form and watch the 5-minute planting video. Trees will be given to the property owner's name provided on the form.
