10-14-19 Shooting - 4700 block Brainerd Road

• Upon arrival to the hospital, police located and spoke with the victim who advised she had been shot near the gas station in the 4700 block of Brainerd Road.
• Police attempted to locate a crime scene but were unable to do so.
• The CPD Violent Crimes Unit was notified and responded.
• The victim advised she was checking on the status of a flat tire in the vehicle she was in when she heard a gunshot and realized she had been struck.
• She proceeded to the hospital by personal vehicle.
