Urban Forestry

Urban trees provide many benefits to residents of and visitors to Chattanooga. Our City code-defined mission is to protect, maintain, and grow the public resource of the urban forest. We work daily both to minimize risks and to ensure that benefits provided by trees are experienced by all Chattanoogans. Learn more about the Tree Ordinance and the program’s history here.
