Citico Ave Apartment Fire

A fire in a vacant apartment was out within minutes on Friday thanks to the quick work of Chattanooga firefighters. Red Shift companies responded to the City View Apartments on Citico Avenue at 3:49 PM on 12/15/23 and found heavy smoke coming from the S building in the complex. They forced entry into the apartment and extinguished the fire in less than 10 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries. The apartment where the fire occurred sustained damage and another apartment had water damage.
