The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) announces the availability of its proposed 2024 Annual and Five-Year Agency Plans for public inspection and comment as of 8:30 a.m. EDT, on Monday, August 1, 2023, at the CHA Central Office at 801 North Holtzclaw Avenue, and on the CHA website at www.chahousing.org.

In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), the City of Chattanooga received an allocation of Community Development Block Grant Program - Coronavirus Response funds (CDBG-CV Round 3) in the amount of- $1,448,742 to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.

The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Economic Development will conduct a public meeting at Chattanooga Housing Authority - Main Office, 801 N. Holtzclaw Ave on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on the City’s FY 2022-2023 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) prior to the submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and solicit input for FY 2024-25 priorities.

The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Economic Development will conduct a public meeting at East Lake Community Center, 3610 Dodds Ave, on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on the City’s application for the HUD Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) Grant prior to the submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and solicit input for proposed grant activities.

These notices shall satisfy two separate but related procedural requirements for activities to be undertaken by the City of Chattanooga

On or about February 5, 2024, the City of Chattanooga will submit a request to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the release of the following funds to undertake a project known as Westside Evolves:

PROGRAM YEAR 2024-2025 NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABLE

As a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Entitlement Community, the City anticipates receiving allocations of $1,548,118 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and $915,068 HOME Investment Partnership Program funds, and having approximately $371,107 in CDBG program income and $318,161 in HOME program income available for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024. Grant amounts are estimates based on prior year awards.

Recognizing the importance of ensuring all people have equal opportunity to contribute their skills and talents. Inclusive apprenticeship programs help employers access a wider talent pool.
