CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga police are looking for more evidence in a shooting that was reported just before 10:00 last night when a man with a gunshot wound showed up at the hospital.

The wound to the 35-year-old is not life-threatening. Police are trying to confirm a crime scene, having been told the victim was walking, didn’t see the suspect, and didn’t know why he would have been shot.

CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga police administered life-saving measures to a wounded 38-year-old man in Hixson early this morning until medics arrived and were able to get him to the hospital.

Police were sent to the 5700 block of Taggart Drive just after 2:30 this morning on an aggravated assault call and found the victim with a serious gunshot wound. Initial information indicates the shooting was related to a domestic dispute.

The investigation and search for the suspect continues.

CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding two people who showed up at the hospital with bullet wounds.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Hickory Valley Road at 12:23 Friday afternoon and were told people from two different vehicles were shooting at each other. While on scene, officers were advised that two people wounded by gunfire had shown up at the hospital – a 20- year-old man and a 20-year-old woman.

CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga police are searching for the driver who killed a female pedestrian in a hit and run on Market Street late Friday night.

69-year-old Sandra Grogins was in the 2100 block of Market Street around 11:30 last night when a southbound vehicle hit her and fled the scene. Medics transported Ms. Grogin to the hospital, but she did not survive. Her next of kin has been notified and police have collected evidence from the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation.
