CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga Police answered a shots fired call on East 13th Street at 12:49 this morning and found that a person had been shot.

A 32-year-old male suffered a non-life threatening bullet wound in the 2200 block of East 13th and was taken to the hospital for treatment once police arrived at the scene. The preliminary investigation shows he was standing outside a residence when an unknown male approached, assaulted, and shot him before running away.

This is an ongoing investigation.

CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga Police are investigating this afternoon’s fatal shooting in the 5200 block of Woodland View Circle.

Police received the call at 3:15 pm and arrived on the scene two minutes later to find an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately engaged in life-saving efforts and the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but died at the hospital from his wounds. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Investigators are working the case and there is no further information we can release at the moment.
