The Chattanooga fire department responded to a duplex fire this morning that resulted in a fatality. The call was received at 7:17 AM. Six fire companies responded to 4605 Plaza Hills Lane with reports of one person still in the structure. The first arriving company, Quint 19, immediately entered the house despite heavy smoke and flames. The victim was quickly removed, handed over to the waiting HCEMS ambulance, and transported to Erlanger ER. It was verified that all occupants of the other side of the duplex had exited and they reported there was only one resident of the side involved.

At 1:20a.m. this morning, the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to an automated fire alarm at 310 W. 28th St. at West Rock, a company that sorts and bales discarded material to make it recyclable. The first fire company to arrived on the scene, Q14, reported that there was smoke coming from the building. They used bolt cutters to cut the lock on the gate to gain access to the property.

Chattanooga, Tenn. -- Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire at 780 Munro Road at 2045 this evening. Firefighters found smoke showing and located a working fire in a bedroom of the residence. It took four fire companies 20 minutes to get the fire under control. No one was home during the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. The damage was assessed at approximately $30,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Chattanooga TN. Chattanooga Fire fighters were dispatched at 1:10 am this morning, December 26, 2017 to a residential house fire. Heavy smoke was showing on arrival of CFD. Command was established by Lt. Daniel Atkins and his Engine 9 crew members. They were followed by Engine 14s, Engine 5 and Ladder 1 who all made a quick knock down of this fire.

Chattanooga, Tenn. -- A Chattanooga fire investigator believes this morning's house fire at 2604 Ocoee Street was deliberately set. No one was injured in that fire, but the house was considered a total loss.
