01-27-14 Firefighters Respond to Second Duplex Fire This Morning

Captain Scott Pell with Squad 19 said the fire appears to have started around the back door, and was beginning to penetrate into the exterior wall. The firefighters were able to get the fire out in less than 10 minutes. No injuries were reported. Captain Pell estimated the dollar loss at $3,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The first duplex fire today occurred at 5:46 a.m. on Arlena Circle. The cause of that fire was linked to an electrical malfunction.
