07-07-14 Fire Damages Commercial Structure

Captain Jones with Quint 6 quickly called for a 2nd alarm bringing 6 additional fire companies to the scene due to the size of the structure and amount of fire that was visible. Companies on scene made an attack with two aerial apparatus and brought the fire under control within an hour. There were no injuries with this incident. The cause of the fire appears to be a malfunction with a vent system for processing equipment. The estimated dollar loss is estimated at $75,000.00.CFD was assisted on scene by the HCEMS, EPB, CPD.
