08-21-14 No Injuries in Duplex Fire

Chattanooga firefighters immediately forced their way into both sides of the duplex to search for occupants. Fortunately, no one was home. Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan aid the firefighters got the fire out quickly, containing the blaze to one side of the duplex. The other side had some smoke damage.

Three adults reportedly lived in the side of the duplex that had the fire damage. They told firefighters that they had a place to stay and declined help from the American Red Cross. An estimate on the dollar loss was not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
