10-22-14 Rotary Club Honors Firefighters of the Year

Captain Ashley May and Lt. Alex Cole were chosen for the honor following their successful rescue of a 66-year-old man from a duplex fire on Daisy Street on August 5, 2014. As part of the partnership with the Chattanooga Fire Department, the Rotary Club donates $500 to the department in honor of the firefighters. Fire Marshal Beau Matlock said the money will be used to purchase fire safety educational materials and smoke alarms.
