11-03-14 No Injuries in Duplex Fire

The firefighters located the fire in a bedroom on the "B" side of the duplex. Captain Brooks said the firefighters got the fire under control quickly, containing most of the fire damage to a couple of bedrooms. No one was reportedly home and no injuries were reported.

The fire displaced an adult and two children in Apartment B, and two adults in Apartment A. Volunteers with the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee have been called in to provide assistance to the families.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chattanooga police and Hamilton County EMS also provided valuable assistance on the scene.
