09-15-15 No Injuries in Afternoon House Fire

Captain Danny Usher with Engine 15 said heavy smoke was showing from the rear of the one-story house. Firefighters made their way inside the house and found a large fire in a bathroom. They were able to get the fire out in 5 to 10 minutes, containing most of the fire damage to the one room. There was some smoke and water damage to adjacent rooms.

No one was reportedly home at the time and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chattanooga police and Hamilton County EMS also provided assistance on the scene.
