09-21-15 Fall Victim at TVA Building

The Chattanooga Fire Department arrived on scene minutes later to a TVA contract worker that fallen into a concrete trench beside the building. Fire Department personnel entered the trench to administer patient care and prepare the victim for extrication. The Chattanooga Fire Departments Urban Search and Rescue (U.S.A.R.) Team prepared a technical rope rescue to lift the man out of the trench. The extrication took about 25 to 30 minutes the man was transported to Erlanger Hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services for further treatment.
