09-22-15 Update on Fall Victim at TVA Office Building

Eyewitnesses told Investigator Walker that shortly before noon yesterday, Mr. Morgan was attempting to slide a metal grate a few inches from a wall in order to paint the building, but accidentally pulled the grate too far, causing it to fall into the culvert. Mr. Morgan's fingers were reportedly stuck in the grate, causing him to also fall in the culvert. Mr. Morgan was critically injured in the fall and succumbed to his injuries at Erlanger Medical Center.

This incident is pending the findings from the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office. TOSHA will also be investigating the incident. Mr. Morgan was an employee of TBM (Total Building Maintenance), which was doing contract maintenance work for TVA.
