05-15-16 Fire Outside a Home in East Chattanooga

The homeowner told dispatch she smelled smoke coming from the basement. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded from Stations 4,5,10, and 15. Fire crews arrived on scene at 3:48 am to find a small fire on the outside of the structure, fire hoses were deployed and the fire was called under control at 3:51 am. There were no injuries reported and the cause is still under investigation. Chattanooga Police Department was on scene to assist.
