09-14-16 Wash Away Hunger Event

Students and faculty at the school have held a food drive in support of this week's "Firefighters Against Hunger" food drive. This morning, the students will draw chalk art and messages about hunger. Then Chattanooga firefighters will arrive and provide water hoses for the students to "wash away hunger." Once that is done, firefighters and food bank personnel will take away the food the students have collected. The most visual part of this event will be at the beginning, when the firefighters arrive with lights and sirens on. Shortly afterward, they'll be helping the students with the fire hoses. We hope to have it all done within one hour.
