11-17-16 Early Morning Fire Damages Duplex

Firefighters with four fire companies made a quick interior attack and managed to contain the fire to the bedroom where it started. The rest of the apartment had significant smoke and water damage. The B side of the duplex was saved. No injuries were reported.

Chief Eldridge said the fire displaced two adults in the A side. A family of four was expected to return to its apartment on the B side. The dollar loss from the fire is estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
