1-10-18 Shed Fire with Residential Exposures 1819 E. 26th St


The shed had been completely engulfed in fire before the fire department's arrival and was a total loss. Fire in the residential structure was contained to the second floor and the attic. Damages were estimated to be $25,000 on the residence and $2000 on the shed. A third house also received heat damage to it's siding. That damage is estimated to be $1000.

A family of several adults and children were displaced due to the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The responding fire companies included E9, E5, Q14, Q1, Q2, L1 and S1.

Hamilton County EMS, Chattanooga Police Department, and Electric Power Board responded to assist.

The attached pictures were take by Chief Michael W. Crites with Tennessee Protective Services who noticed smoke in the area and investigated the source.
