05-14-2012 Chattanooga and Cleveland Firefighters Finish Strong in Regional Competition

Eric Stone and Vernon Horn with the Chattanooga Fire Department and Drew Rader, Michael McCabe and Richard Lesneiwski with the Cleveland Fire Department entered a combined team and won 2nd place in the team points competition.

In individual contests, Eric Stone took 3rd in the open individual and top ten.  Drew Rader won the first time "green horn" trophy, and Vernon Horn finished 8th in open individual and top ten. Eric Stone also qualified for the world competition in the individual category.  Also, Richard Lesneiwski took 1st in the over 40 individual competition.

Vernon Horn and Eric Stone took 2nd in the tandem and the combined team won 3rd place in the team relay.  All of them qualified for the world competition to be held later in the year in Las Vegas.
