11-19-16 Robbery/Shooting at 900 block Carter St.

On November 18, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 900 block of Carter Street concerning reports of a person shot.

The following information was obtained through preliminary investigations:

• Chattanooga Police located a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound.
• Hamilton County EMS responded and pronounced him deceased on the scene.
• The decedent was attempting to rob two people when he was shot.
• The two subjects that were being robbed stayed on the scene until police officers arrived.
• Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continues to actively investigate this incident.

The decedent has been identified as 42-year-old Delane Carlos Price. The robbery victim (shooter) has been identified as 59-year-old Stan Lindsey.
