12-6-16 Shooting - unknown location

Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were called to a local hospital just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 after a man showed up with a gunshot wound. The following information was obtained through preliminary investigations:

One victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg
Victim told investigators he walking down the street when he was shot
Victim says he took a cab to the hospital
Victim's injury is considered non-life-threatening
Suspect description as provided by victim: black male wearing a black hoodie; no other details provided
Victim gave multiple locations where shooting occurred
CPD Officers were unable to locate a crime scene
Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continues to actively investigate this incident.

Ruben Williams, 20 - validated gang member
