12-18-16 Shooting 400 block Market St.

At 3:07 Sunday morning, December 18, 2016 officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were called to a local hospital after a party showed up with a gunshot wound. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Victim is suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg
• Victim was transported to a local hospital via personal vehicle
• Victim says he was shot while standing in the 400 block of Market St
• Suspect description: black male, medium length dreads, wearing dark colored clothing
• Witnesses on scene and victim are cooperating with investigators
• Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating all leads in this case
