Arrest Update 12-20-16/12-18-16 Robbery from business 4343 Hwy 58

At 6:00 a.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a robbery from business call at the Waffle House located at 4343 Hwy 58. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Suspect entered diner, pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at cashier and demanded money
• Cashier complied by giving suspect cash from register
• Suspect was last seen running south across Hwy 58
• Suspect description: Male, black or mixed race, freckled cheeks, 6' in height, medium build, 18-25 years old
• Suspect clothing: black jacket with fur-like trim around the hood, khaki trousers, gray & black gloves, and black shoes
• Witnesses on scene are cooperating with investigators
• Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating all leads in this case
