12-23-16 Shooting - 1500 block Anderson Ave

On December 22, 2016 at approximately 6:48 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 1500 block of Anderson Ave on a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Upon arrival Officers located the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left cheek
• The victim advised that he was attempting to break up a disorder at the residence when he was shot
• The victim was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS
• His injuries are non-life-threatening at this time
• The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival
• Suspect information will not be released until further investigation is completed
• Witnesses are cooperating with the investigation
• Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident and following all actionable leads

VICTIM:
Calvin Peterson (male, 65)
