1-8-17 Shooting - 5730 Lee Hwy.


On the evening of Monday, January 9, 2017 the Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at 5730 Lee Hwy. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

  • Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to an unconscious party at 6200 Lee Highway (Mapco)
  • While en route to that call, officers were also dispatched to a shots fired at 5730 Lee Highway (Inn Town Suites)
  • Officers located the victim unconscious inside his vehicle at the Mapco and the crime scene was located at the Inn Town Suites
  • The victim was transported to a local hospital via HCEMS and is in serious condition
  • The suspect has not been identified at this time
  • The suspect vehicle was described as a light blue Toyota pickup truck
  • HCSO was notified that the victim is the suspect in their investigation of a January 2nd shooting on Cummings Hwy
  • Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating all actionable leads
