1-23-17 Pursuit/Traffic Crash Leads to Arrest of Two Gang Members

The following are the preliminary details of that incident:

• The pursuit began at 5200 Hwy 58.
• During the pursuit the stolen vehicle was involved in three crashes
• Pursuit ended with the third and final crash at 2200 Monroe St. where the driver of the suspect vehicle lost control and went into a ditch
• Two suspects were extracted from the crashed vehicle and taken into custody
• Both suspects are convicted felons
• Two weapons were found in suspect vehicle
• Police vehicle pursuing suspect vehicle also involved in final crash
• Minor damage to civilian vehicles struck by suspect vehicle
• Multiple charges against suspects include Evading Arrest, Narcotics, Weapons and Auto Theft
• Federal charges will be pursued on both suspects

SUSPECTS CHARGED:
Marquis McReynolds, 25, male - driver

Jermichael Brooks, 23, male
