1-29-17 Shooting - 2200 block E. 26th St. Ct.

At 2:08 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017, Chattanooga Police responded to a call for a person shot in the 2200 block of East 26th St. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Police located a party with multiple gunshot wounds at the location of the call
• The party's injuries were considered non-life-threatening at scene
• A person of interest was detained for questioning
• Members of the Crime Scene Unit are processing evidence from the scene
• Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are following all actionable leads
