2-16-17 Traffic Crash/Critical Injury - 6000 Dayton Blvd.

At 4:17 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 Chattanooga Police responded to a traffic crash at 6000 Dayton Blvd. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• The crash involved a motorcycle and motor vehicle
• Vehicle #1 pulled out from Dowlen Road crossing Dayton Blvd traveling east after stopping for a flashing red traffic signal
• Vehicle #2 (motorcycle) was traveling south on Dayton Blvd wih the flashing yellow traffic signal
• Vehicle #2 struck the front left corner of Vehicle #1 as Vehicle #1 pulled across traffic in front of him
• Rider of vehicle #2 sustained critical head injuries and was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS
• The identities of the Driver and Rider will not be released at this time
• Officers in the Traffic Division are investigating the incident and following all leads
