3-18-17 Motor Vehicle Crash/Critical Injury -

The following are the preliminary facts of that incident gathered through investigation, interview, and observation from 11:42 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 :

Vehicle (Ford F150) was traveling north on S. Watkins St. when it left the roadway to the left
Vehicle went up on the sidewalk, crossed intersection of S. Watkins St. & Mcallie Ave., and crashed through a locked gate at Parkridge Hospital before stopping
Crash caused temporary power shortage to the hospital for a brief time
Driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS with critical, but stable injuries
Chattanooga Fire Department also responded to the scene
CPD's Traffic Division is actively investigating this crash and will follow all actionable leads

Cassanova Lee (male, 40)
