3-23-17 Shooting - 1000 block Jarvis Ave.

The Chattanooga Police Department was called to respond to a person shot in the 1000 block of Jarvis Avenue Thursday night. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

• One victim was located on scene
• Victim was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospita
• lInjury suffered by the victim is considered non-life-threatening
• Another person in the home told police shots were fired from outside the home
• Victim is a validated gang member
• Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are following all actionable leads
