4-24-17 Shooting - 1000 block W 37th St.


Monday, April 24, 2017 at 1:48 a.m., Chattanooga Police were called to a person shot on the 1000 block of W 37th St. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

  • Upon arrival, police located 2 victims who were suffering from gunshot wounds
  • Both victims were transported by HCEMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
  • Police were able to secure the scene and interview the victims
  • Preliminary investigation suggests that the shooting may have involved the sale of narcotics
  • There is no suspect information at this time
  • Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating the incident and are following all actionable leads

Theresa Farris Greene (female, 35)

Victim #2:

Corey Thompson (male, 31)

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
