5-26-17 Traffic Crash/Fatality - 7100 block Bonny Oaks Dr.

At 6:43 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017, Chattanooga Police responded to a traffic crash at 7100 Bonny Oaks Dr. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

• Vehicle #2 (Jeep Renegade) was travelling East on Bonny Oaks Dr when Vehicle #1 (Suzuki Motorcycle) crossed the double yellow line and struck Vehicle #2 head on
• Vehicle #1 continued on and left the roadway, coming to rest off the side of the road
• The driver of Vehicle #1 was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries
• The driver of Vehicle #2 had minor injuries and was treated at the scene and released
• Officers with the Traffic Division are actively investigating the crash
