6-8-17 Shooting & Suspect Arrest - 2100 block Windsor St.


On June 8, 2017 at approximately 8:15 p.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital for a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

  • An adult with the victim told police the shooting occurred in the 2100 block of Windsor St.
  • The victim was traveling in a vehicle with two others when struck
  • The victim sustained a single gunshot wound
  • At last check, victim's condition listed as critical
  • Through investigation, evidence collected, and witness cooperation a person of interest was detained
  • Probable cause was determined after interviewing the person of interest
  • Suspect was transported to and booked into the Hamilton County Jail
  • Suspect is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm (convicted felon), Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault
  • Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are following all actionable leads.
  • If you have any information concerning this incident, please call the Chattanooga Police Department. You can remain anonymous.

Lebron Brown (male, 28)

Victim:

8-year-old male

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
