8-10-17 Homicide suspect arrested - 3399 Wilcox Blvd.


 

UPDATE (8/10/17):

Chattanooga Police have arrested and charged Desmond Trammell with the homicide of Desmond Clay. Trammell's charges include Criminal Homicide, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

Trammell is in custody and is being booked into the Hamilton County Jail.

ORIGINAL RELEASE (7/26/17):

At 10:18 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 Chattanooga Police Officers responded to a person shot call at 3399 Wilcox Blvd. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

  • CPD Officers responded to a person shot call at 3399 Wilcox Blvd
  • Victim was located in a vehicle that crashed into a business
  • Victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds
  • Victim transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital
  • Victim succumbed to injuries at the hospital
  • Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are following all actionable leads
  • Anyone in the area that may have heard or witnessed anything suspicious, please call investigators using the Homicide Tip Line 423-643-5100

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
