8-17-17 Shooting/Homicide - 500 block S. Kelly St.

Langdon Strickland succumbed to injuries sustained from the shooting on South Kelly Street on Monday, August 14, 2017.

ORIGINAL RELEASE (8/14/17):

On August 14, 2017 at 1:20 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at the 500 block of S Kelly St. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Upon arrival, Chattanooga Police officers located the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound
• HCEMS transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries
• Investigators were able to determine the location of the crime scene and begin the collection of evidence
• Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are following all actionable leads
• If you have information about this incident, call the Chattanooga Police Department immediately. You can remain anonymous.

Langdon Strickland (male, 33)
