8-27-17 Shots Fired - 1300 block E. 3rd St.

• Chattanooga Police responded to the location in order to assist with dispersing the crowd.
• While officers were on scene, shots were fired in the area.
• While investigating the shots fired, officers discharged their weapons.
• Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle and detain persons of interest inside the vehicle.
• No one was struck by the shots fired.
• Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continues to actively follow all actionable leads.
