1-16-18 Traffic Crash / Fatality Investigation - 2400 Oak St

• Vehicle #1 was proceeding South on Kilmer St
• Vehicle #2 was proceeding West on Oak St
• The investigation concluded that Vehicle #1 is suspected of not yielding to a stop sign and struck Vehicle #2 in the intersection
• The driver of Vehicle #1 was transported to the hospital with minor injuries
• The driver of Vehicle #2 was transported to the hospital with serious injuries
• On 1/14/18 The Chattanooga Police Department was notified that the driver of Vehicle #2 had succumbed to injuries which were sustained in the crash
• The Chattanooga Police Traffic Division will continue the investigation once a final determination is made as to the cause of death by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner

Driver #2 - William C Chambers (male, 71)
