ORIGINAL RELEASE (7/30/18):

On July 30 at 7:55 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a body found at 4537 Norcross Rd. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

 

  • A passing motorist observed the victim on the side of the roadway and called police
  • The victim was pronounced deceased by HCEMS on scene
  • Investigators were able to determine that the victim most likely died due to a collision with a motor vehicle
  • The suspect vehicle had left the scene prior to police arrival and is unknown at this time
  • Members of the Traffic Division are actively investigating this crash. If you have any information about this incident, please call the Chattanooga Police.

Donald Rackley (male, 62)

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
