10-12-18 UPDATE #2: ARREST/Shooting - 2002 Portland Street


UPDATE (10/6/18): Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect in the Shooting of Iziyah Spence that occurred on October 3rd, 2018 in the 2000 block of Portland Street. The suspect who is a juvenile is charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. He is currently in the custody of The Juvenile Detention Center.

On 10/04/2018 at approximately 9:21 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Portland Street.

 

  • Police were able to locate a male victim in the 500 block of North Kelly St.
  • The male party was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
  • Male was transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County EMS with a life threatening injury.
  • Chattanooga Police Major Crimes Division is actively investigating.
  • The Chattanooga Police Department encourages anyone with information about the incident to please call the Homicide Tip Line at (423) 643-5100 or submit a tip through the Chattanooga PD mobile app. You can remain anonymous.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
