10-08-18 TRAFFIC CRASH / FATALITY - 3607 Cummings Highway

• Vehicle #1, Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling west bound on Cummings Hwy under I-24 overpass.
• Vehicle #2, Buick, was stopped at the bottom of the off ramp from I-24 WB.
• Vehicle #2 entered the intersection to make a left turn onto Cummings Hwy when he was struck in the left rear quarter panel / tire area.
• Rider #1 was vaulted across the back of the vehicle and landed in the west bound lanes.
• Rider #1 was transported to area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
• Preliminary roadway evidence and witness interviews show that Vehicle #1 was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to impact with Vehicle #2.
• Occupants of Vehicle #2 suffered minor injuries.The investigation will continue in a logical manner.

Calvin Lamb (Male, 56)
