12-22-18 Shooting - 181 I-24 West at 4th Ave.

• Upon arrival, Officers located the victim suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
• CPD Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene.
• Through the course of the investigation, it was found that the victim and suspect are known to each other and they were in the same vehicle.
• They exited I-24 prior to the shooting.
• The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
• The suspect was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
• Anyone with information is asked to call Chattanooga Police at 423-698-2525. You can remain anonymous.

The shooting was not related to a road rage incident with another vehicle on I-24.
