1-15-19 Traffic Crash / Fatal - 2300 Wilcox Blvd.

• Vehicle 2 (Kia Soul) was traveling west on Wilcox Blvd. in the left lane
• Vehicle 1 (Nissan Sentra) was stopped at the stop sign at Monroe St. preparing to make a left turn to Wilcox Blvd. (eastbound)
• Vehicle 1 turned in front of Vehicle 2 causing a head-on collision
• Passenger in Vehicle 1 sustained serious injuries and was transported via Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital
• Driver of Vehicle 2 sustained minor injuries
• Driver of Vehicle 1 was uninjuredOn 1/15/19 the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office notified CPD that the passenger in Vehicle 1 passed away from injuries sustained in the crash
• Investigation is ongoing and proceeding in a logical manner
