1-21-19 Traffic Crash / Fatal - 3300 Brainerd Road

• Based on physical evidence vehicle 1 (Nissan Altima) was traveling east on Brainerd Road from the tunnels going straight.
• Vehicle 2 (Toyota Yaris) was pulling out from the intersection of Elmwood Drive to turn left (west) onto Brainerd Road.
• Vehicle 2 was struck in the driver side door by vehicle 1.
• The driver of vehicle 2 suffered major trauma and was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS where she was listed in critical condition.
• Driver of vehicle 1 was also transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and was listed in stable condition.
• A passenger in vehicle 1 also suffered injuries that are not believed to be serious at this time.
• The Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office notified CPD that the driver in Vehicle 2 passed away on 1/25/19 from injuries sustained in the crash.
• The investigation is on-going and continuing in a logical manner.
